My Habits...

So I'm guessing you guys want to know a bit more about me, right? Like what is my usual schedule and so on. So here it is.

Waking up
I usually wake up to the sound of my alarm clock, the light coming through my window or even people talking (i.e. my brother). All depending on what day it is. Whether it's a weekday or a weekend it usually changes. But everything is the same, I'm so tired and a bit cranky. What time you say? I would say 6-6:30 on weekdays because i want to take a shower, before it's being used (around 7) and because i want to have breakfast, which usually doesn't happen because I'm too busy getting ready (yes, i know it's bad.) On weekends, i would say i wake up at 10:30-12 depending what time i slept last night and how tired i am. I usually have brunch on those days because i don't need to rush.

Using the 3 R's

As we know, we've learned from our parents to recycle more than to throw out. So I've been thinking green lately. I've thought of sewing with what I have than to throw it all out or to let it collect dust. How about i reuse the fabric from previous projects or even old clothes that i don't wear anymore. Today i was ruffling through some bags and boxes when i encountered something great! My old baby clothes! Full of bright colours and eye catching design. I may be able to attach them together and make a quilt (full of memories) or make them into shoes and sell or donate them to those who need them. Well i'm excited!

Great news! I recently learned how to use a twin needle... unfortunately one of the needles broke :( Looks like i got to buy another one! Talk to you guys next week!

Sincerely,

Burdastyle

Hey everyone!

Just wanting to tell you about this website that I'm also posting my stuff on! Burdastyle, you can leave comments, favorite, learn how to sew and plenty more! I first found out about Burdastyle in the morning when I was thinking about what to make with all my left over fabric from previous projects. When I stumbled on this website, it was a community for sewers/seamstresses. Then and there I decided, "Why don't i join this community too?" Later on I decided to add all my projects on. Sooner enough people, whom i don't even know, started commenting, favoriting and asking for tips on how i made certain projects. Another thing I like about Burdastyle is the pattern page! This page is where Burdastyle as well as other members of the community, post up printable patterns that you can make at home. This is fantastic because most of them are less than $5 or even FREE! So come check it out! I'm sure you'll be able to find something your looking for!

Sincerely,
